BEST OF 2018

Who can believe it’s the end of 2018 already?! It has been an exciting year for us, we had a rebrand in April, our team is growing and we have no plan to stop here. Saying that we would like to share the best of the best we’ve seen in the past 12 months.

Best albums

We’re big on good music and always on a look out for the next great tune. Richard Russell’s Everything is Recorded has been our top choice since it got released at the beginning of the year. Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino has been on repeat since the release and we can’t get enough of the new Arctic Monkeys sound. Everyone likes a bit of indie and Ruins by First Aid Kit hit the nail on the head perfectly. No one loves Kanye more than Kanye loves Kanye, but our love for one of his 2018 album Ye is getting there.

Most popular products

We looked through the most loved products on our website and we believe our customers have the best taste. Wrap has been part of our staple collection and with the arrival of the lounge chair, we love it even more. The Joe chairs and stools are just so on trend and will stay contemporary for years to come. With the number of finishes, there is a Joe for every restaurant. Modular seating has been a hit this year, thanks to the versatility and a number of options it gives, with the Blob being one of our most popular models. London range got even better this year with the introduction of a metal base and metal tube around the back and when you mix it with the oh-so-trendy velvets, you have a winner. Finally, Dalia range is amazing – pick your base, pick the finish, maybe split the fabric and you have a beautiful, elegant and modern chair or stool.

Best on TV

The biggest talk in the office was caused by the Wild Wild Country – it was wild (who would say), sometimes bizarre, but definitely showed the insider story of the utopian city in Oregon. BBC have been on it this year and Killing Eve is no exception, we loved the chemistry between Eve and Villanelle. We waited for the second season of Ozark very patiently and were not disappointed – the storyline just gets better and now we’re back again, season three can’t come soon enough. Nothing beats a dark comedy and Inside No 9 was brilliant, almost making you question if the stories were truly fictional. We love a bit of Benedict Cumberbatch and he played Patrick Melrose so well! Limited series about a guy with a dark past, perfect for those winter evenings.
