We were approached by a leading London design practice to submit ideas and concepts for the restaurant furniture, which would adorn the new interior.
We suggested various solutions and pieces, however, there was one stipulation that had to be taken on board. It had to match the natural wood theme running throughout the design concept, which was a rich flamed walnut. This meant we would not only specify the pieces but also submit samples of the finishes for client approval.
We matched the scheme perfectly and the client signed off the finish, as well as the pieces chosen. For the chairs, we placed our sights firmly at the Joe range with a selection of the upholstered side chairs and barstools on the new black steel bases.
The chairs and stools were upholstered in a soft, supple hide. The exposed backrests were treated to the same flame walnut finish to suit the rest of the livery.
Dining tables were also employed from our extensive ranges with solid 25mm thick oak tops, supported on sturdy, Stylus bases. The tops were matched with the flame walnut stain, which went perfectly with the natural waney edge countertop, which surrounds the bar and restaurant areas.
It was also one of the first projects which we used our fantastic new product, “Eco Board” for the outside areas. The tops were formed into the carbonised finish and on top of the folding pedestal base, as storage space was at a premium. The tables were paired with the Mesh stackable outside chairs, also in a black powder-coated finish.
