Now that the clocks have gone forward, we’re looking ahead to sunny summer days and to heading outside for drinks, dinner and socialising with friends, but as our collection shows, investing in outdoor furniture now could help you attract more customers all year round.

Over recent years we’ve added hundreds of pieces to our collection of furniture for bars, restaurants, hotels, cafés and contemporary workplaces, and now off er a huge choice of lounge chairs, bar stools, sofas and tables all designed for outside use. Choose from furniture made from natural timber, sleek powder-coated metal or upholstered in weather-resistant fabric.

It’s a great investment for hotel, bar and restaurant operators as new designs, technology and materials make it possible for outdoor furniture to be used throughout the year, adding to capacity and giving greater flexibility.

Make it Metal

Steel is a classic material for outdoor furniture - strong, light and weather-resistant, it can be powder-coated in every colour of the rainbow making it simple to find a shade to suit your space. Here’s a few of our favourite pieces which make the most of metal:

The Coney family brings together functionality, comfort and style - and it’s stackable too. We love the bold vertical slats and clean lines of the backrest, moulded from metal sheet - available in a choice of 37 colours and with an optional seat cushion, it’s new to our collection but we think this is going to be one we’ll see for years to come.

The Carousel family includes lounge chairs, an armchair, two seater sofa and pouf, all suitable for use outdoors. The lounge chairs all share the same cocooning shape and generous dimensions, with a seat made of die-cast aluminium alloy. Choose from three frame colours, with backs made from flat- or tight-weave synthetic rope or opt for the new square weave style seen here.

Code is a reissue of a classic - its industrial styling and ergonomic design make this a comfortable chair for an outside terrace or garden space.

The Opera outdoor armchair is another update on a classic, bringing a touch of timeless elegance to patios, gardens, terraces and balconies. Made from premium grade steel, it can be stored outside in even the harshest weather conditions and it’s stackable too. Not just practical, its gently inclined backrest and optional seat cushion make this a super-comfortable seat for long summer days.

The Luxembourg outdoor low lounge chair is available as a single or two-seater seat - the distinctive style with its curved seat slats for comfort reimagines the iconic design of the Parisian Jardin du Luxembourg and is available in a choice of 26 colours.

Soft, generously-padded back and seat cushions make the Nolita Relax outdoor lounge chair a perfect choice for long summer days in a hotel garden or outside terrace - a great spot to relax over drinks or eating al fresco in real comfort. The sleek steel frame is topped with the plump cushions which have waterproof linings and are covered with removable outdoor fabric covers.

Wood works

 Natural wood is a perfect choice for outdoor spaces - choose hard-wearing teak or Iroko wood for a frame which will stand up to the elements and look great for years to come.

The new Twins collection includes an armchair, side chair, sofa, tables and this laidback lounge chair, all available in two versions: one made entirely of teak, the other in teak with aluminium frame and detailing. The frame comes in a choice of five colours which all work perfectly with the beautiful natural wood.

The Griante woven armchair blends traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques, resulting in an elevated reimagining of a classic chair. Made with FSC®-certified Iroko wood, the frame features turned cylindrical legs and a tapered oval armrest. The handwoven seat and backrest are made in Italy, using a fully recyclable polypropylene yarn belt with a three-dimensional texture, which makes it supremely comfortable and incredibly weather resistant.

Outdoor sofas are a great addition to a garden, patio, terrace or balcony and this Svelte sofa brings a touch of pared-back Scandi styling with its carefully-crafted Iroko wood frame. Its generous seat and back cushions can be upholstered in your choice of fabric to create a sofa that perfectly suits your space.

The Venus XL armchair showcases the beauty of natural timber with a striking wooden frame and a woven PE rope back which creates an incredibly comfortable seat. Add cushions upholstered in any fabric or leather of your choice and it’s a perfect piece for use inside or out.

Raise the bar

Bar stools have become an increasingly popular part of our product range over recent years, and are specified in more and more of our projects for hotel, bar and restaurant clients - this trend extends to outside spaces, and our collection includes plenty of options for bar stools which are suitable for outside use.

New to our collection this spring, the Star family includes a side chair, armchair, lounge chair, tables, sofa and this bar stool - all suitable for use outside and all available in a choice of 19 colours with the option to add a cushion for extra comfort.

We’ve used the Nolita bar stool for numerous projects, including the spectacular roof terrace at the Hippodrome Casino in the heart of London’s West End - it’s easy to see why it’s such a popular piece. Inspired by Italian garden furniture from the 1960s, it’s made entirely from steel which is powder-coated for outdoor use, available in a choice of two heights and is stackable for easy storage. Opt for an optional outdoor seat cushion for added comfort.

The Mia bar stool was created by visionary architect and designer Jen Nouvel - with its minimal design and striking silhouette, there’s a futuristic feel to this new addition to our collection. Suitable for use inside and out, it would work perfectly as outside seating for a contemporary bar, café or restaurant.

Inspired by traditional hand-forged metalwork and with a powder-coated steel frame, the Thor bar stool brings a touch of industrial edge which is balanced by a solid teak seat. At once contemporary and timeless, we love the clean lines and design details which make this a great choice for a wide range of hospitality projects.
