32 by The Hollies

The Hollies is a family run business in the picturesque Cheshire, that started as a small vegetable stand and now includes lodges, café, and locally sourced deli.

After opening a boutique hotel in Scotland, The Hollies decided to bring the luxury to a small town of Tarporley.

What was once an HSBC bank, transformed into a quirky restaurant and five-bedroom hotel. The building benefits from high ceilings and natural light and paired with a mix of organic materials gives the 32 by The Hollies a warm, welcoming feeling.

Furniture Fusion got involved from the early stages of the project and we took part in discussions about the interior. The client had a good idea of what they wanted, and we showed them beautiful Italian furniture with soft curves, brass details and outstanding quality that makes this place look fantastic.

The dining area is dominated by a bespoke high table – the 2800mm solid ash base has a 100mm deep edge, with a white marble top overlapping the base ever so slightly. The table is surrounded by 12 bespoke stools upholstered in a mix of velvet and leather. This more lounge-like area also hosts our Camelia High Back Lounge Chairs, in a mix of fabrics, accompanied by solid ash and marble tables.

The client insisted on 50mm thick solid ash table tops and we delivered them with a custom stain – the tops are lime grey washed, which shows the natural ash texture and creates a beautiful contrast against the grey stain.

Another centrepiece of the restaurant is the 1700mm dia green marble table top, standing on a custom table base. Surrounded by Camelia Side Chairs in various fabrics, the wood, metal, marble and fabrics work perfectly together in creating the boutique look.

Yellow and blue velvet are the two main contrasting colours used on the furniture and we delivered a pair of vintage looking Chesterfield sofas, one in each colour. Alongside the walls, we installed four bench seats, with a deep button detail in a mix of the colours mentioned.

The small bar area has a beautiful mirrored back, with white marble counter to match our tables. Camelia Bar Stools give the bar a touch of elegance, with the blue velvet upholstery and brass socks, footrests and studs.

A private room at the 32 by The Hollies has a stunning 1700mm dia green marble table. As the room itself is cosy, we suggested to swap Camelia chairs for Allure Side Chairs – these are even slimmer, accommodating up to 10 guests around the table and giving waiters enough space to walk around, without compromising the comfort.

At first glance, there is a big variety of materials and finishes, but put together, the venue has an amazing character. Seating has a warm feel with velvets and leathers, cool marble is the perfect contrast. Wooden tables, floors and panelling give 32 by The Hollies a bit of rustic feel, with brass details giving the interior an ultra-modern look any high-end restaurant desires.
