A striking contemporary look for one of London’s hottest new restaurants.
Amethyst restaurant is the new home for renowned Neapolitan chef Carlo Scotto. The new venture, located in the heart of Mayfair, promises to deliver an intimate gastronomic experience, with just 36 covers set over two floors.
With time spent in some of the world’s renowned kitchens, travelling became an integral element in the development of his craft with Carlo making Japan, France and Sweden, among other countries, his home. His passion and determination to become a leading chef grew into an obsession, and his path took him to some of London’s top kitchens to hone his skills. including those of Gordon Ramsay Holdings, Angela Hartnett at Murano and Galvin at La Chapelle to name a few.
We were delighted to supply furniture for the restaurant, working directly with proprietors Sahand and Laura Jalali to deliver chairs, bar stools and tables for use throughout the venue.
Our Alissa side chair is found alongside our solid oak tables in the lower ground floor Wine Cellar dining space, and around the stunning bespoke centrepiece quartz and amethyst table which dominates the ground floor. With a slim profile and curved back, Alissa is a great choice for a contemporary hospitality interior – upholstered here in Finezza velvet fabric for a luxurious, elegant touch.
We also used velvet to upholster our Ginger bar stools – part of a collection with modern styling and delicate lines that look great set against the raw materials, concrete and wood of the pared-back restaurant interior.
After a tough couple of years for the hospitality sector, it’s great to see new sites opening again, and a pleasure to be part of the project to create a perfect canvas for Carlo’s cooking.
