Hotel Indigo, Manchester
Boutique style reflecting local heritage - delivering furniture for a landmark Manchester hotel.
We were delighted to work once again with the 3D Reid team, this time to supply furniture, much of it bespoke, to the acclaimed Hotel Indigo in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The landmark 14-storey hotel launched following a £30m development project, in a prime location opposite the city’s Victoria Station. Part-refurbishment and part new-build, the design by architects 3D Reid incorporates the grade-two listed City Buildings and a brand new building, giving a total of 187 bedrooms plus a 120-cover restaurant, Mamucium.
Furniture Fusion supplied furniture throughout the property, from marble side tables and upholstered chairs in the bedrooms to bar stools, bespoke dining tables, dining chairs and high tables in the stylish Mamucium restaurant. We also supplied all loose furniture for the bedrooms, suites, lobby, bar and restaurant, in line with the interior design which blends the contemporary with the city’s Victorian and industrial past.
Several bespoke pieces were created for Hotel Indigo, including plush velvet wing lounge chairs and sleek lobby leather sofas to set a stylish note on arrival.
We loved working on this high-profile launch that breathed new life into a long-empty listed building in what’s now a really buzzy part of town. The Northern Quarter is a creative, vibrant area with deep roots in music, culture and design – all strong influences for Furniture Fusion.
