Furniture for stylish hotel bedrooms and suites in the heart of the Scottish capital
Following our recent projects at Residence Inn London Bridge and Tower Bridge in London, we were delighted to work with the Marriott brand once more, making a return to Residence Inn Edinburgh.
Our previous project saw us supplying furniture for the hotel’s ground floor bar and restaurant, but this time around the focus was on the new guest bedrooms and suites - beautifully designed by our friends at Bell & Swift.
Set among striking heritage buildings and adjacent to the University of Edinburgh’s innovative Futures Institute, this contemporary hotel provides an ideal base for guests visiting Scotland’s capital for business, leisure or academic pursuits. It’s great to see the furniture installed and the project complete in plenty of time for the world-famous Edinburgh Festival this summer.
The new look bedrooms provide a real ‘home away from home’ experience for guests, with space to sleep, eat, work and relax in comfort. Our Tea side chair is fully upholstered in burnt orange faux leather, with its solid beech frame stained black - we love the pop of colour in contrast to the muted tones of the L-shaped sofa.
The trend for longer-term hotel stays, or visits which mix business and leisure, makes it increasingly important for hotel bedrooms to give guests space to relax, sleep, eat and work as required during their stay.
Our Camille side chair was fully upholstered in deep indigo faux leather, which sits perfectly around our Marquina ceramic-topped dining table to give plenty of space for guests to eat together in comfort.
We always love an opportunity to create a bespoke piece, so were delighted to create a unique coffee table for this project - an elegant lozenge-shaped top in dark oak laminate tops solid beech wood legs to create a compact and contemporary addition to the stylish suites and studios.
