St. George's Bristol
Furniture that’s perfectly in tune with a creative space.
Music is in our DNA here at Furniture Fusion, so we jumped at the chance to supply furniture to St George’s Bristol - a beautiful music and entertainment venue housed in a 19th Century church.
As part of a Heritage Lottery Fund project to restore and extend the building, Furniture Fusion was approached to supply pieces for use within a beautiful double-height extension. The sleek glass extension features an exposed stone wall, part of the original building designed by the architect of the British Museum, so it was crucial that the furniture could sit comfortably in both heritage and contemporary spaces.
The client knew exactly what they were after – a well-priced, stackable polypropylene chair plus armchairs and tables. The Nene collection ticked every box - a minimalist design, with a light frame and clean, streamlined look. The side chair is a well-priced stackable, polypropylene piece, produced from a single mould so is durable and strong - so far, so practical, but its beauty comes from its simplicity and how it adapts to work in a range of interiors.
To add a bit of dimension to the space, two ash veneer slab end tables were installed, framing the room perfectly. Black Easy stools with metal frame give additional seating options and add interest alongside the Nene collection side chairs, armchairs and tables.
