The Gannet, Edinburgh Zoo

A stylish & sustainable new restaurant at Edinburgh Zoo.

01. 08. 22

The Gannet is a brand new restaurant at the hugely popular Edinburgh Zoo. Named after the first animal to be cared for at the zoo, The Gannet serves up a range of traditional Scottish fish and chip dishes, from Cullen skink to vegan haggis, with sustainability at the heart of what’s on offer.

An eclectic mix of fabrics, materials and finishes comes together to create something special - we love the bespoke benches laminated in natural wild oak, with striking seat pad upholstery in vintage gold faux leather.

Our Frida Side Chair in solid beech is a perfect choice for hospitality interiors - stylish and stackable, it’s available with upholstered seat, or as in this project, as a fully wooden chair. We supplied a solid beech chair, stained in chalky pastel blue and basalt grey.

The muted tones of the Frida chair contrast with the bold upholstery of our Tea Side Chair - supplied here with a fabulous vibrant coral faux leather inner seat and back, and a contrasting soft jade outer.

Our Alma Bar Stool was supplied with a solid beech seat and back, lacquered in a stunning bold yellow, echoing the seat pad of our bespoke benches, and in a dramatic dark grey. Dark grey was also used for our bespoke tables, complete with concrete laminate top, for a contemporary look.
