A contemporary new look for VIP hospitality within an iconic football stadium.
Keen football fans may pick up on the visual clues and will know exactly where this project is located - the colour of the upholstery on our Ivy Side Chairs and Techna Bar Stools is a big hint!
This is Club 72 - the most relaxed and informal of the VIP hospitality offerings at Rangers Football Club in Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow. Named after the club’s famous 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup victory in Barcelona, Club 72 has a contemporary new look created by the 442 Design team.
We supplied furniture throughout the venue, from the dining tables and Alissa Side Chairs seen here, to bar stools, bespoke tables and armchairs used in other areas of this popular pre- and post-match destination.
As well as the large main bar and restaurant area, we also supplied seating and a table for The Trophy Room - a private room within Club 72. Our Onyx Armchairs are upholstered in vivid burnt orange velvet, and sit perfectly alongside our bespoke dining table. The 1800mm diameter top and Icon base have a sleek, contemporary feel that makes a real impact in this space.
We love the design details throughout Club 72 - with references to legendary players and matches, it’s a great place for fans of the beautiful game to spend some time, and it was a pleasure to work on this project.
