Leeds City hotel

In the heart of Leeds, next to the city’s central rail station and just a stroll from the luxurious Victoria Quarter shopping centre, this popular hotel is a perfect destination for business travellers or those heading to the northern city for a mini-break. The hotel has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, with a bright new look for its spacious guest bedrooms.

It was a pleasure to work again with Bell & Swift - we love their design for the new-look bedrooms and particularly the use of some really beautiful fabrics on the lounge chair, desk chair and sofa beds that we supplied for the project.

Our Ginger Lounge Chair has a really appealing curved silhouette which works so well in hotel, restaurant and bar interiors. For this project, we upholstered in contrasting fabrics - a textured weave in ochre from Panaz and a fabulous luxurious velvet from Romo. The statement chevron design contrasts with the block colour and looks great finished with piping in a warm orange shade.

Guests can sit and relax, eat or work comfort with our Atlas Armchair - part of a collection that includes lounge chairs, side chair and bar stool. All pieces in the collection feature the same elegant tapered legs and streamlined styling. The armchair here has an inner back and seat upholstered in a deep blue velvet fabric which contrasts with the chevron velvet fabric, this time in Sorbet, with bold orange and yellow tones.

If you look closely you’ll see that the pieces we supplied all feature piping in Panaz Aston Spice fabric - this detail elevates and unifies the design and the vibrant orange tone pops against the muted greys, blues and tan used elsewhere in the space.

The piping is a key feature of our Mamba Sofa Bed, which we supplied in two sizes - a practical addition to the Leeds City hotel bedrooms that looks great. Sofa beds are increasingly popular for hotel interiors, allowing operators to accommodate additional guests and make their space work flexibly when required.

We’re always delighted to have an opportunity to create bespoke pieces for projects - bespoke furniture gives you something made-to-measure, with added design details to suit your space and style. In this case, we created a beautiful bespoke stool, fully upholstered in a beautiful textured weave fabric from Clarke & Clarke and finished with the Panaz piping used elsewhere.
