Furniture for a riverside restaurant with legendary London views
Our latest project saw us heading to an iconic London destination, creating furniture for Vicinity Restaurant & Bar - a new-look restaurant situated alongside the River Thames, with views of Tower Bridge, The Shard and more.
The restaurant is inside the The Tower Hotel, by Thistle and is surrounded by key London landmarks. As you’d expect from such a standout location, the restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows with seating maximised to make the most of the setting - meaning guest comfort was also a key consideration, allowing diners to settle in and enjoy the outlook alongside great drinks and food.
Positioned next to our solid ash dining tables, our Barbara armchair gives guests a super-comfortable seat. Upholstered in anthracite faux leather and finished with solid beech legs stained to a dark walnut, it’s a great choice for a contemporary bar or restaurant interior.
We love an opportunity to create bespoke products, so were delighted to work with Abi Perry-Jones and team at Jones AD to deliver some special pieces for this project. Our bespoke EC1 London Chair was upholstered in midnight blue velvet and sits perfectly alongside our Romeo armchair upholstered in a striking geometric-patterned fabric. Both chairs feature distinctive tubular metal frames in a copper finish, echoing the pipe details and lighting throughout the space.
Bar stools are becoming increasingly popular and we now supply them as part of most projects, whether hotels, bars, restaurants or other commercial interiors.
Our collection includes a wide range of bar stools to suit any interior or outside space, but we created the bespoke Diamond high stool for the Vicinity Bar & Restaurant project. These bespoke stools are upholstered in a striking geometric-patterned fabric with tan faux leather for the seat and lower back, and another version upholstered in deep blue velvet fabric. Both versions are finished with a metal frame in a warm copper, giving a perfect spot to enjoy drinks and take in the view over the River Thames and Tower Bridge beyond.
Fixed seating at poseur height gives guests another option to sit at a higher position and enjoy the views - full upholstery in tan-coloured faux leather makes this a practical and stylish option for a busy restaurant and bar. The final bespoke element of this project saw us creating and installing booth seating - a sociable and relaxed space to enjoy drinks and dinner with friends and sure to be a popular spot for diners this summer and all year round.
